The Challenge

As a satellite team of the Lancia racing department in the 1970s, and having never abandoned the preparation of the Stratos, Mauro Ambrogi is today recognised as the “foremost expert” on Lancia’s magnificent car. Many collectors and classic-car dealers rely on us for the certainty of buying and owning an original example.

The Solution

University Motors can supply all the parts true to the original, both bodywork and mechanical: this is why the Stratos we restore are faithful in every detail to those that left our workshop in the 1970s. The 6-into-1 exhaust, recognised worldwide as the hallmark of Mauro Ambrogi’s hands, is one example. Before the restoration, the car’s history, provenance and competition record are studied in order to rebuild it as faithfully as possible to the period.
